The Diffusion Tubes are very easy to handle. Since these are passive measurement systems, relying on the diffusion of contaminant molecules in air, they do not require a pump. The diffusion tubes are used with a plastic holder which is attached to the clothing (shirt collar, pocket, etc.).
Draeger Tube Holder must be purchased separately.

The measurement result can be read directly on the scale printed on the Diffusion Tube following the length of the discoloration.

Unlike Short-Term detector tubes that require a pump for operation, Draeger Diffusion Tubes rely on natural movement of the gases and vapors to enter the tube and cause a color change. Simply read the indication on the graduated scale (ppm x hours) and divide by the amount of hours the Draeger Diffusion Tube has been in use for a TWA measurement. No waiting, no analysis fees, no laboratory services, no turn-around time; just on the spot measurement. The Draeger Tube Holder allows you to place the Draeger Diffusion Tube in the breathing zone of the people being monitored or in the suspected areas.
